And After Vacation Came...

I don't really know if anyone still reads this blog, and I myself haven't had the stamina or heart to think about the topic for quite some time. I haven't added anything since July 7th, because after we got back from vacation, we sold our house, packed it all up, moved, found out we were pregnant, and this blog's author just has no energy for this right now.

I don't know when I will post again, but to all who have come across these pages as searching parents, I encourage you to keep researching. You'll know you've hit home when your blood pressure rises every time you think about the topic! There's just too much cash involved and not enough accountability. I truly believe the people in the system have good intentions (doctors, nurses, many public health officials), but the system matrix is broken. The stuff trickling down from the top rungs of public health authority and the drug industry has soured the whole lot, and we trusting parents are just along for the ride.

I started researching vaccines even though my public health background taught me all was normal and safe. I now find myself in an uncharted frontier, where I don't automatically trust what I read (on either side). But I also find I can never go back to thinking that vaccines are safe for everyone nor as necessary as we've been told. I certainly don't have all the answers, but I know a lot more than I used to. And when I am tempted to fear I am making wrong decisions, I just have to remember the God who is sovereign over my children's lives. My faith cannot ultimately be in my decisions or my information, but it must rest solely in the person of Christ.

"Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You." ~ Psalm 9:10

I just wanted to tell you thank you for your sweet spirit and for your willingness to be so frank with the information. You inspired me to start up a blog and I just hope that it inspires others just as well. May God bless you and your family always.

It's funny that you say 'to all of you who have come accross these pages as searching parents...' because I am one of those individuals. I come here as the result of an assignment for my graduate work in Special Education, as well as the desire to learn more about immunizations as a parent as well. I too have battled with the concerns you have expressed in your most recent blog, as well as the original one back in April. There are so many aspects of concern, both for the well being of our children (and the importnace or lack of importance) for them to be immunized...and the other, more taboo discussion of the corruption and persausive government pressures or hidden agendas. I have enjoyed reading many of the comments related to your original post, and although I reside in the same boat, feeling unsure and certain as to exactly who and what is responsible for the links to autism... I still find that so many parents share the frustration of knowing what is the right thing to do. The right thing...which is assumed to be what your medical expert...suggests that we do. I can't help but feel very lost and unable to change the way's of our world. I suppose the best fight you can put up is the one you yourself have suggested...continue to research and educate yourself as best possible...remaining skeptical to all ends of media and advice. Thank you for your post!

Sara,

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and best of luck with your new location!

You have helped many people, and yes, some of us check in here now and again (just look at your blog counter). :)

You've provided lots of useful information and ways to take action.

All the best to you, and I will still check now and again to see if you've had a chance to come back!

I can really sympathize. Most of the time I have to "tune it out" because this topic is so sensitive for me and my family. Still, it can't be healthy to suppress everything either, so when I get the need, I post. Hopefully that will be healing for me and helpful for others, as you no doubt are helpful to so many.
